Lima - December 2021
Our joint journey through Peru at the end of 2021 started in Lima where I lived at the time. Together we visited all sights of Lima such as Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace, The Cathedral of Lima, Miraflores and the beautiful Coastline.
Cusco and Machu Picchu - January2022
After Lima we visited Cuzco and its surroundings like Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu. In Cusco we had the first approach with the typical artisanal textiles.
Puno and Lake Titicaca February- 2022
Our next destination was Puno situated next to the Titicaca Lake which is located between the border of Peru and Bolivia. The Titicaca Lake is the highest and biggest lake of South America. We also visited the floating islands.
Paracas and The BallestasIslands February - 2022
Continuing with our tour we arrived at Paracas "The Ballestas Islands". There we saw sea lions, Humboldt penguins, flamingos and other protected species.
The Nazca Lines March -2022
Then we went to the City of Nazca. Here Boris and I were able to appreciate the Nazca lines and geoglyphs composed of several figures and lines that appear traced on the earth's surface. For both of us it was an amazing experience.
Arequipa March - 2022
Another place where we arrived was Arequipa. This place is famous for its delicious cuisine, distinct colonial charm, and beautiful buildings made of white volcanic stone.
The Colca Valley April - 2022
Finally we visited the Colca Valley where we saw the famous condor of the Andes in the Colca Canyon, a majestic animal and the largest in the world by the combined measure of weight and wingspan.
